From Germany: Munich - Salzburg - Tauernautobahn (A 10) motorway in direction Villach. Exit Feistritz/Drau in direction Hermagor. After Hermagor in direction Kötschach Mauthen – turnoff Nassfeld Pass. 100 m after Gartnerkofel lift, first driveway to the left, sign: Gartnerkofelweg - “Almhotel Kärnten”

From Italy: Udine – Pontebba - turnoff Nassfeld Pass. 100 m before the Gartnerkofel lift, first driveway to the right, sign: Gartnerkofelweg - “Almhotel Kärnten”

From the west: Felbertauern or Pustertalerstrasse in direction Lienz, drive through Lienz in direction Carinthia, take a right turn in Oberdrauburg and continue in direction Hermagor on the B110 Gailbergstraße, turn left in Kötschach and continue in direction Hermagor on the B111 Gailtalstraße until turnoff Nassfeld Pass. 100 m after the Gartnerkofel lift, first driveway to the left, sign: Gartnerkofelweg - “Almhotel Kärnten”

In winter
Your vehicle should definitely be equipped with winter tires for the journey to the Nassfeld.
From November 1st to April 15th, winter tires are generally compulsory in Austria for wintry driving conditions.
With snow chains in the trunk, you are well prepared for all eventualities.
