A summer mountain adventure on the new Gartnerkofel cable car

In mid-June, the Gartnerkofelbahn (a 10-seater gondola lift), which opened this winter, began its summer service. Until 1 November 2026, visitors can travel in superb comfort, with full accessibility and regardless of the weather, from Nassfeld up into the mountain world of the magnificent Gartnerkofel. It’s worth noting that pushchairs can be transported free of charge, whilst dogs and bikes can also be taken on board for a fee (dogs €7 | bikes €10).

At an altitude of 1,900 metres, around the Gartnerkofelbahn mountain station, there are numerous highlights to enjoy:

A hiker’s paradise starting from the mountain station

There are 16 hikes to choose from, all starting from the Gartnerkofelbahn mountain station – a paradise for leisurely walkers, families with children, sporty speed hikers, mountaineers, via ferrata enthusiasts and climbers.
