Snowy & sunny ski vacation

Not skiing a slope twice for a whole day - that's possible here at Nassfeld. A cool 110 km of ski slopes await you. Easy blue, moderately difficult red and challenging black runs. One of our 29 modern mountain lifts will always take you comfortably up to the next descent. Our latest comfort highlight is the Gartnerkofelbahn, a modern gondola lift. Our ski movie, speed and parallel race courses, the varied snow park on the Gartnerkofel and the fun slopes "The Snake" and "The Wave" add to the skiing fun. Night skiing in Tröpolach (Millennium Express Section I) is always an experience.

The amount of snow that falls from the sky here at Nassfeld in winter is enormous. On average, Mrs. Holle sends us 7 to 8 meters of snow and creates a magnificent alpine winter wonderland. She is supported by our very efficient snow-making systems. That's why we can offer the best slope conditions from the beginning of December to the beginning of April.

Snow is the one "ingredient" that makes our skiers' hearts beat faster. Sun is the second. The combination is ideal - perfect, perfectly groomed pistes and glorious sunshine. Ideal for lots of cool descents. And just as perfect for a refreshment stop on one of the sun terraces of our numerous ski huts. Depending on when and where you want to stop off - you can always find a sunny terrace.

The selection of ski huts and mountain restaurants at Nassfeld ranges from rustic to modern, from small to large. There are refreshment stops at the top of the mountain stations as well as in the valley station area. And of course numerous ones in between. They serve regional delicacies as well as Mediterranean delicacies, not least because some of the huts are located on the Italian side of Nassfeld.

Hardly any other ski area in Carinthia offers so many attractive options for off-piste skiing in deep snow. As cool, exciting and adrenaline-pumping as freeriding is, it is very different from piste skiing. It is important to know that off-piste skiing requires different equipment, different skills and, above all, a lot of experience in assessing the risks. It is therefore important and advisable to be out and about with knowledgeable locals in the open ski area. One of these professional contacts is freerider Alex Huber from the Sunny Side ski school.
